Operations Manager

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities HSE, Maintenance, Projects, Commercial & Operations Compliance will be the core responsibility. Lead, develop and implement Operations Support strategy in all areas of responsibility ensuring alignment with Sunrise Group’s overall strategic direction. Develop methodologies, frameworks, policies, and plans that support operational excellence aligned to regulatory compliance including work process sheets, charts and SOPs. Develop and implement strategies to assess gaps and potential risks against operational excellence objectives and develop action plans to mitigate risks. Lead and develop team members with people management skills. Manage operations with budgetary constraints. Direct and optimize daily terminal operations in accordance with relevant procedures and UAE legislation while delivering impeccable HSSE performance. Establish and maintain employer’s procedures and instructions for the operational area. Develop detailed budget forecasts for the terminal and deliver, execute and control them. Prepare regular formal reports for the Deputy General Manager and maintain open communication channels on issues. Act as designated incident leader to lead local response team for minor and major incidents. Support smooth transition from construction to operations. Lead development of QCAS operational strategy and change initiatives policies in line with group strategy. Establish quality systems and procedures complying with pre-established standards and ISO requirements covering business cycle aspects. Manage development, implementation and evaluation of company-wide Environmental Health and Safety management and control system, facility management programs and risk minimization. Drive sustainability initiatives for QHSE and oversee implementation of social audits (SEDEX). Ensure vessel operations timing adheres to minimize demurrage within laytime provided by vessel owners. Control stock loss within limits during vessel discharge. Coordinate with HFZA related work in Engineering/Environment. Lead projects within the terminal. Handle terminal, insurance, port documentation timely and accurately. Ensure proper implementation and utilization of ERP processes. Generate external revenue by leasing tanks and customer development. Coordinate and execute operations with 3rd party surveyor. Lead repair and development of the terminal. Optimize utilization of tanks (internal & external). Manage compliance matters with HFZ, port authority, customs, and external authorities timely. Responsible for stock movements for all dispatches and receivables. Prepare and implement training plans for new joiners and current employees. Review employee performance periodically.
