Planning Engineer

Prepare and maintain project programmes in Primavera P6, including design, procurement, construction, MEP, and testing & commissioning activities. Set up the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS), activity sequencing, logic links and durations under the guidance of the Senior Planning Engineer / Planning Manager. Prepare resource-loaded schedules, manpower histograms and cash flow projections. Develop 3-week and 6-week look-ahead programmes in coordination with site teams. Collect site progress data and update programmes on a weekly and monthly basis. Compare actual progress against baseline and highlight slippages and critical path changes. Prepare S-curves and progress measurement sheets, and support Earned Value analysis. Review subcontractor programmes and monitor their progress against the master schedule. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for the project team, client and consultant. Create and maintain project dashboards for progress tracking and management reporting. Take part in progress meetings and give schedule updates. Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, QS, procurement and MEP teams to collect accurate planning inputs. Track procurement schedules, long-lead items and authority approvals (Dubai Municipality, DEWA, Civil Defence, etc.).

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline. 5–8 years of experience in construction planning. Experience in Power BI for developing project dashboards, progress tracking and data visualisation. Proven experience in high-rise residential and building construction projects in the UAE. GCC experience is preferred. Contractor-side experience is preferred. Strong working knowledge of Primavera P6 (mandatory); MS Project is a plus. Good understanding of the critical path method, progress measurement and basic EVM. Familiarity with FIDIC contract conditions related to time and delays. Employment Type Full-time
