Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Description – Powder Coating Plant In-Charge Position: Powder Coating Plant In-Charge Location: Ajman, UAE Industry: Retail Displays / Steel Fabrication / Kiosks / Shopfitting About the Role Salary: upto 6500-7000 AED + Standard UAE Benefits Our client is looking for an experienced Powder Coating Plant In-Charge to oversee the day-to-day operations of the powder coating section within its manufacturing facility. The role will be responsible for managing production, manpower, shift operations, quality, and ensuring finished steel structures and display products meet required standards. Key Responsibilities Manage the complete day-to-day operations of the powder coating plant/section. Plan and supervise powder coating production according to project and manufacturing schedules. Manage manpower allocation and shift systems, ensuring optimum utilisation of the workforce. Supervise the powder coating process, including surface preparation, pre-treatment, powder application and curing. Ensure consistent quality, colour matching, coating thickness and finish across finished products. Coordinate with fabrication and production teams to ensure smooth material flow and timely completion. Monitor powder consumption, chemicals, materials and other consumables. Troubleshoot coating defects and process-related issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure proper maintenance and efficient operation of powder coating equipment and ovens. Maintain production records, quality reports and daily operational data. Ensure compliance with HSE and environmental requirements within the powder coating facility. Train, guide and supervise operators and technicians. Identify opportunities to improve productivity, reduce wastage and optimise the coating process. Desired Candidate Profile Minimum 4 years of experience in a powder coating plant, preferably within steel fabrication, retail fixtures, displays, kiosks or similar manufacturing environments. Strong hands-on knowledge of powder coating processes and chemical pre-treatment. Experience managing production manpower and shift operations. Ability to lead powder coating operators and technicians effectively. Good understanding of coating defects, troubleshooting and quality control. Experience with steel products, structures, retail displays or fabricated metal components would be highly preferred. Chemical Engineering / relevant technical qualification is preferred. Good communication and team-management skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
