Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The role is responsible of identifying and implementing efficiency improvement, quality complaints reduction, Process enhancement and automation opportunities. You will focus on creating opportunities for various Designing and Prepress aspects, such as resource optimization, cost reduction, Innovation and technological advancement, efficiency improvement, customer engagement, quality control & assurance, market research and trends, team’s building and process automation. Role is focused on various strategic aspects of the business, contributing to its success and competitiveness This position is a blend of technical expertise, creative vision, and effective leadership to drive success. The position is responsible for resource planning and optimization, review and establish plans and strategies to uplift the department, training and mentoring the team, product development & Innovation support, implementing and directing the production activities of the company in a designated area to achieve the department objectives. Leading the team by establishing goals and monitoring the growth and progress reports which is essential in determining potentials of the team in designing and prepress improvement. You should develop techniques to address the resource optimization targets, quality improvement and arrange technical trainings, expand to maintain the targeted objectives in order to uplift the day-to-day operation of the department. Including but not limited to resource planning and acquiring, SOPs updating, efficiency improvement, cost reduction, quality improvement, technology advancement & automation, technical presentation, product compliance and reporting to the management. Prepress Management: · Oversee and manage the prepress department, including staff, equipment, and workflow. · Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of customer files for printing, including file checking, color management, and imposition. · Collaborate with production teams to optimize printing processes, reduce errors, and enhance print quality. · Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in prepress to recommend and implement improvements. Design and Creative Management: · Lead and manage a team of graphic designers and creative professionals. · Coordinate design projects from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and brand guidelines. · Review and approve design concepts, layouts, and proofs, ensuring they meet quality standards. · Foster a creative and collaborative work environment, encouraging innovation and fresh design ideas. Customer Engagement: · Interact with clients to understand their design and prepress needs, providing expert guidance and solutions. · Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to ensure customer satisfaction and project success. · Handle customer feedback and resolve any issues related to design or prepress processes. Quality Assurance: · Implement and maintain quality control procedures to ensure error-free output in prepress and design work. · Conduct regular checks and audits to verify compliance with quality standards. · Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to prepress and design software and equipment. Resource Management: · Manage budgetary considerations for the prepress and design center, including equipment maintenance and software licenses. · Monitor and allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and business goals. · Quality Assurance: Ensuring the quality and accuracy of printed materials is critical in the printing and packaging industry. The manager is responsible for implementing and maintaining rigorous quality control procedures in both design and prepress activities. This contributes to customer satisfaction, minimizes errors, and reduces waste, thereby enhancing the company's reputation and competitiveness. · Efficiency Improvement: Streamlining prepress processes and design workflows is essential to improve efficiency and reduce production time. The manager identifies bottlenecks, optimizes resource allocation, and implements technological advancements to enhance productivity. This strategic focus on efficiency can lead to cost savings and increased competitiveness. · Innovation and Technology Adoption: Staying abreast of technological advancements in design, prepress, and printing is crucial. The manager should identify and recommend the adoption of new technologies, software, and equipment that can improve the company's capabilities, enhance print quality, and reduce production costs. Strategic investments in technology can provide a competitive edge. · Customer Engagement: Collaborating closely with customers and sales teams, the manager helps understand client needs and preferences. By offering design and prepress solutions that align with customer requirements and market trends, the manager contributes to customer loyalty and repeat business, which is vital for long-term success. · Cost Management: Managing the budget for design and prepress operations is part of the manager's role. This includes controlling expenses related to software licenses, equipment maintenance, and staffing. Effective cost management contributes to the company's profitability and strategic sustainability. · Talent Development: Attracting and retaining skilled designers and prepress professionals is essential for consistent high-quality output. The manager is responsible for recruiting, training, and developing a talented team. A strategically focused approach to talent management ensures that the company maintains a competitive advantage in design and prepress capabilities. · Market Research and Trends: Keeping an eye on market trends, consumer preferences, and competitors' offerings is crucial. The manager should provide insights into emerging design and packaging trends, helping the company adapt and innovate to meet changing market demands. · Environmental Responsibility: As sustainability becomes increasingly important, the manager can play a strategic role in implementing eco-friendly design and printing practices. This not only aligns with corporate social responsibility but also meets the demands of environmentally conscious customers, opening up new market opportunities.
