Procurement Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Receive and review RFQs, technical specifications, drawings, and datasheets. Source materials and equipment from local and international suppliers. Obtain competitive quotations from OEMs, authorized distributors, and manufacturers. Conduct technical and commercial bid evaluations. Prepare cost comparison statements and procurement recommendations. Negotiate prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms. Issue RFQs, Purchase Orders, and follow up on order execution. Coordinate with suppliers, logistics providers, and internal stakeholders. Maintain supplier database and develop new sourcing channels. Ensure compliance with project specifications and client requirements. Monitor procurement schedules and delivery commitments. Support vendor registration and prequalification activities. Prepare procurement reports and documentation. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline. Minimum 1 to 3 years of procurement experience. Experience in sourcing industrial, Oil & Gas, power plant, or engineering products. Strong knowledge of procurement processes and supplier management. Good technical understanding of mechanical and electrical equipment. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and ERP systems. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Preferred Experience Experience handling RFQs from ADNOC, EPC contractors, utilities, or industrial clients. Knowledge of OEM sourcing and international procurement. Familiarity with Incoterms, logistics, and import/export documentation. Experience in supplier development and vendor registration.
