Production Manager – Joinery

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Plan, schedule, and supervise daily joinery production activities. Manage production teams, including supervisors, carpenters, machine operators, and helpers. Ensure production targets and delivery deadlines are achieved. Monitor workflow and optimize manpower, machinery, and material utilization. Ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Coordinate with Design, Estimation, Procurement, Stores, and Project teams to ensure smooth production. Monitor production costs and implement measures to improve productivity and reduce waste. Ensure preventive maintenance of woodworking machinery and equipment. Enforce Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies within the factory. Conduct regular quality inspections and resolve production-related issues. Train, mentor, and evaluate production employees to improve performance and skills. Prepare production reports, manpower reports, and KPI performance reports. Identify opportunities for continuous improvement using Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles. Ensure compliance with company policies and ISO quality standards. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Wood Technology, Furniture Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 8–10 years of experience in joinery, furniture manufacturing, or interior fit-out production. At least 3–5 years in a Production Manager or similar leadership role. Strong knowledge of joinery production processes, woodworking machinery, CNC operations, and finishing. Proven experience in production planning, scheduling, quality control, and resource management. Ability to lead and motivate production teams to achieve productivity and quality targets. Good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement practices. Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and organizational skills. Knowledge of health, safety, and quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/MRP systems. Excellent communication and coordination skills with design, procurement, and project teams. Results-oriented, proactive, and capable of working under pressure to meet deadlines.
