Project Engineer – Fire Protection Systems

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Plan, execute, and supervise fire fighting system installation projects from commencement to completion. Coordinate with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure timely project execution. Prepare Fire Fighting System shop drawings and layouts in AutoCAD in accordance with UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and Civil Defence regulations. Prepare material submittals, material take-offs, method statements, as-built drawings, and other project documentation. Review project specifications and ensure all installation works comply with approved drawings and applicable UAE standards. Conduct site inspections, monitor work progress, and ensure quality standards are maintained. Coordinate testing, commissioning, inspections, and Civil Defence approvals. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly project progress reports. Manage manpower, subcontractors, and material requirements at site. Resolve technical issues encountered during project execution. Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental requirements at all project sites. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering. Minimum 2–3 years of UAE experience in Fire Fighting System projects. Proficiency in AutoCAD with the ability to independently prepare Fire Fighting System drawings, shop drawings, layout drawings, and as-built drawings. Thorough knowledge of UAE Fire & Life Safety Code and Civil Defence requirements for fire protection systems. Sound knowledge of fire pump systems, sprinkler systems, hydrant systems, hose reel systems, foam systems, clean agent systems, and related fire protection equipment. Experience in preparing material take-offs and coordinating with consultants and site teams. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Strong technical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and coordination abilities. Valid UAE Driving License (Compulsory). Ability to independently prepare Fire Fighting drawings in AutoCAD as per UAE Fire & Life Safety Code. Ability to independently manage multiple project sites. Good command of English. Knowledge of Hindi, Malayalam, or Arabic will be an added advantage.
