Project Lead Engineer-Primary

The opportunity As a Project Lead Engineer Primary, you will be focusing on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project including: Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc. Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project. May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include: Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex. How you ll make an impact You will play a critical role in Providing technical support for tendering & Execution of Customer projects, preparation of Primary drawings & Bill of Quantities for Engineered items of Gas insulated Switchgears, Technical lead for Substations, Overall responsibility for managing and leading all engineering activities of the project, prepare specifications, check supplier s offers & co-ordinate with Supply Chain Management for procurement of materials, equipment s & Services. Lead & attend discussions with customers, handle site queries and take necessary actions. Helping apprentices, entry-level engineers, technicians, and support teams with design questions. Review of deliverables before submission to client. Review and preparation of technical documents for procurement of Current transformers and voltage transformers. Participate in customer meetings as required. Active participation in project review meeting. Active project contribution to reduce the lead time and cost of the offered GIS solution by developing a solution as per project technical requirements. Adhere to the detailed project plan to meet on time delivery. To ensure quality of deliverable as top priority. To focus on optimized solutions with benefit to customer and HE. Interface with civil, steel and application engineers on systems / solutions part from Hitachi Energy / EPC companies. You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Desired Candidate Profile

A bachelor s degree in Electrical, Mechanical engineering, or a related field. 8 to 10 years of relevant experience in Gas insulated Switchgear (GIS) roles. Proficiency in both spoken & written in English & Arabic language is required.
