Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Purpose To provide technical service and solution to all functions of manufacturing unit related to raw material / finished goods / new products etc. Principal Accountabilities Ensure proper and timely execution of enquiries, orders and their amendments. Ensure timely completion of internal and external audits. Ensure compliance to QMS requirements. Deliver trainings on subject matter experts. Key Responsibilities Work effectively and efficiently with various functions and departments of WPC in order to implement organizational business goals. Participate along with the concerned departments in KoM/PPM/PIM. Coordinate with other functions such as Marketing, CPCM, QA/QC, Procurement, etc. to ensure timely management of enquiries and orders. Calculate, prepare and monitor implementation of annual budget for the department. Review of annual budget prepared for the procurement of Codes / Standards / Specifications / Technical Papers / Journals / Books. Administer all financial functions of facility and prepare all required budgets and forecast same as per required budget. Provide support to all facility activities in order to prepare proposal plans for plant. Finalization of total annual budget and representation of the same to the management. Prepare and participate in technical meetings/gatherings/setup and update the organization with ongoing changes/trends in industry. Participate in technical seminars for various national & international conferences / journals / magazines. Provide technical training within the department & other employees as and when needed. Facilitate research and development of existing/new products along with external technical support as the representative for the organization. Facilitate R&D related to product, steel, mill qualification and plant up-gradation and submission of R&D related information to TS & SA. Facilitate plant visits by suppliers / customers / registration bodies / agencies. Facilitate new product development, new qualification, and steel raw material development as and when required by TS & SA. Ensure compliance to QMS and documentation/submission of reports concerning the department. Ensure timely review/submission of reports related RCA and CAPA, various audit and failure investigations. Ensure timely closure of internal and external NCRs and audit recommendations. Technical Services department. Ensure compliance to QMS requirements. Ensure timely submission of enquiries, order technical responses to RMTS from steel suppliers. Education & Experience Any Diploma / Graduate / Post Graduate in Material Management or equivalent educational background required to execute the role. Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience. Job Pre-Requisites: N.A. Technical Skills & Competencies Functional Domain Expert – Knowledge of pipe manufacturing industry in terms of operation and quality assurance/control. Technical Know-How – Technical specification as per API and ISO specification for pipe manufacturing. Resource Management – Effective and optimum utilization of resources at hand.
