Quantity Surveyor (Landscaping)

Quantity Surveyor (Landscaping & Irrigation) Leading Landscaping and Irrigation Contractor based in Dubai seeks an experienced Quantity Surveyor for immediate start. Responsibilities • Interim payments for works undertaken & Payment Certificate • outlining the financial implications of all decisions • Value Engineering • Bills of Quantities & Pricing Documents • Valuations & Variations • Preparation, submission and agreement of Final Accounts • Measurement & Quantification Job Description / Role • To have a complete and maintain an in-depth knowledge of the designated Project which includes and is not limited to the contract and the scope of works. • To identify and analyze risks at an early stage and recommend necessary course of action. • To monitor, value and track all PCO’s (Proposed Change Orders) and CO’s (Change Orders) in accordance with the companies polices and procedures. • To value and assess completed work and organize progress payments. • To liaise with the Design/Engineering department regarding the scope of work and the Bill of Quantities. • To liaise with Planning Engineer as per activity ID and achieve the monthly invoice target value. • To monitor all sub contractors work for compliance to their contract • To prepare weekly and monthly progress reports • To attend all designated meetings in house and when requested, with the client or nominated representative, sub contractors, designers and on site. • Managing costs on a wide variety of Landscape Projects • Performing risk and value management and cost control • Advising on procurement strategy. • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks • Establishing and operating cost and financial control systems • Providing advice on contractual claims • Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports • Valuing completed work and arranging payments Desired Candidate Profile • Civil Engineering / Quantity Surveying (or equivalent) Degree holder from a recognized and accredited University • Minimum 6 years of related experience, at least 3 year’s within the UAE in construction / Landscaping Industry • Knowledge of AutoCAD and Primavera required • Previous experience of FIDIC Contracts preferred Employment Type Full-time
