R&D Engineer

IoT Engineer Device-to-cloud connectivity, fleet provisioning and platform integration As IoT (Internet of Things) Engineer you will design how thousands of devices connect, authenticate, provision, and stream data reliably and securely building the connectivity layer, data pipelines, and fleet-management tooling that keep our connected estate healthy at scale. Key Responsibilities Design and operate the device-to-cloud connectivity layer using MQTT, and cloud IoT services (AWS IoT Core, Azure IoT Hub, or equivalent). Build device provisioning, identity, and lifecycle/fleet-management workflows for large device populations. Develop ingestion pipelines and data processing that feed telemetry into our platform and analytics. Implement device security: mutual TLS, certificate/key management, and secure onboarding. Create edge and cloud logic for command-and-control, remote configuration, and OTA orchestration. Monitor connectivity health, build observability/alerting, and drive down device downtime. Partner with embedded engineers on data contracts and with backend/platform teams on APIs and storage. Optimise cellular data usage, cost, and SIM/connectivity management across the fleet. Nice to Have Experience managing cellular connectivity, APNs, and SIM fleets. Cloud infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) and containerisation (Docker/Kubernetes). Familiarity with time-series databases and telemetry visualisation. Prior work with telematics, automotive, or asset-tracking data.

Desired Candidate Profile

Required Qualifications Degree in Computer Science, Software/Electronic Engineering, or equivalent, with 3+ years of relevant experience.
