Operating internationally, the company is scaling its data platform to support millions of daily events across product, payments, advertising, and partner ecosystems. As they continue to grow, they re looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer to help build the next generation of their data infrastructure. About the Role As a Senior Data Engineer , you ll play a critical role in designing and operating the data platform that powers analytics, machine learning, product insights, and business operations. You ll build reliable, scalable data pipelines, integrate diverse data sources, and develop infrastructure that enables teams across Engineering, Product, Data Science, and Business Intelligence to make better decisions. This is an opportunity to work on high-volume, event-driven systems within a modern cloud environment while helping define engineering best practices as the platform continues to evolve. What You ll Do Build integrations across product, payment, advertising, and partner systems, ingesting data from APIs, databases, files, events, and webhooks into a centralized data platform. Design and maintain bidirectional data pipelines, including reverse ETL processes that synchronize operational systems. Develop event-driven, high-frequency ingestion pipelines supporting both real-time and asynchronous processing. Model and transform data into clean, reusable, and well-documented datasets for analytics and machine learning. Build scalable production infrastructure rather than one-off solutions. Develop cloud infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD best practices. Own services end-to-end, from schema design and APIs through deployment, monitoring, and operational support. Monitor production systems for availability, data quality, freshness, latency, performance, and cloud cost optimization. Improve observability, alerting, recovery, backfills, and operational resilience. Mentor other engineers and contribute to engineering standards and best practices. Desired Candidate Profile What We re Looking For Strong background in Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, or Backend Engineering. Proven experience designing and operating production-grade data pipelines. Strong Python and SQL skills. Deep understanding of data modeling, incremental processing, and schema evolution. Hands-on experience with Snowflake and cloud platforms such as AWS. Solid software engineering fundamentals, including Git, testing, CI/CD, and Docker. Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or similar), data transformation frameworks (dbt or equivalent), and integrating APIs, databases, event streams, and third-party systems. Strong understanding of observability, operational excellence, security, reliability, and cloud cost management. Pragmatic problem-solving skills with a strong sense of ownership and collaboration.
