Senior Engineer - Building Technology Systems (BMS)

As a Senior Engineer in Building Technology Systems (BMS), you will support the design delivery of Building Management Systems and smart building solutions across a wide range of building projects. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute technical expertise in building automation, controls, monitoring, and system integration, ensuring that designs meet project requirements, industry standards, and client expectations. The role requires strong technical knowledge of BMS systems, HVAC controls, and integrated building technologies, with involvement throughout the design, construction, testing, and commissioning phases of projects. Develop and deliver Building Management System (BMS) designs for a variety of building projects, including commercial, healthcare, hospitality, aviation, residential, and mixed-use developments. Prepare design calculations, system architecture diagrams, control schematics, points schedules, sequences of operation, technical specifications, and design reports. Coordinate BMS designs with mechanical, electrical, ELV, ICT, security, lighting control, and energy management systems. Support the production and review of drawings, BIM models, and technical documentation to ensure compliance with project requirements. Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, material submittals, and technical proposals for compliance with the design intent. Participate in multidisciplinary design coordination meetings and assist in resolving technical and integration challenges. Provide technical input during design development, detailed design, tender, and construction stages. Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and support the management of design changes during project delivery. Conduct site visits and inspections to verify installation quality and conformance with approved designs and specifications. Support testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover activities to ensure operational performance of BMS installations. Assist in the implementation of smart building, sustainability, energy efficiency, and digital building initiatives. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, authority requirements, and cybersecurity considerations for connected building systems. Maintain accurate project documentation and prepare technical reports and progress updates. Work collaboratively with clients, contractors, vendors, and project teams to achieve successful project outcomes.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Controls Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or a related discipline. Minimum 8-12 years of experience in Building Management Systems, Building Automation, or Smart Buildings engineering. Demonstrated experience delivering BMS designs for complex building projects. Strong understanding of HVAC controls, monitoring systems, and integrated building technologies. Experience with major BMS platforms such as Siemens Desigo, Schneider EcoStruxure, Honeywell EBI, Johnson Controls Metasys, Delta Controls, or equivalent. Familiarity with UAE, KSA, and international building codes, standards, and design practices. Experience supporting testing, commissioning, and handover of building systems. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office applications. Professional certifications related to BMS, controls, or smart buildings would be advantageous.
