Senior Engineer(MEP)Walk-In 5th - 6th September 2026{Swiss Hotel}

Lead and supervise MEP engineering and site execution activities for power projects, substations, control buildings, and associated facilities. Review MEP drawings, specifications, equipment layouts, shop drawings, method statements, ITPs, and technical submissions. Coordinate MEP works with civil, structural, electrical, architectural, and other engineering disciplines. Supervise installation of HVAC systems, ventilation systems, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, fire alarm, and other building services. Coordinate MEP services for control rooms, substations, administration buildings, workshops, warehouses, utility buildings, and ancillary facilities. Ensure all MEP installations are executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, method statements, project schedules, and applicable standards. Review equipment and material submittals and ensure only approved materials are procured and installed. Coordinate with procurement and stores teams to ensure timely availability of MEP equipment, materials, and consumables. Supervise subcontractors and specialist contractors and monitor their productivity, workmanship, resource deployment, and compliance with project requirements. Monitor daily progress and ensure MEP activities are aligned with approved project schedules and milestones. Prepare and review work plans, look-ahead schedules, manpower requirements, and resource plans. Coordinate with consultants, clients, vendors, suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to resolve technical and site-related issues. Review RFIs, technical queries, design changes, site instructions, and proposed modifications and provide appropriate technical solutions. Coordinate MEP interfaces and identify clashes between mechanical, electrical, civil, structural, and architectural services. Ensure proper installation of HVAC equipment, ducting, piping, pumps, tanks, ventilation systems, plumbing fixtures, drainage systems, and firefighting equipment. Coordinate installation and testing of fire alarm, fire suppression, fire-fighting, emergency lighting, and other life-safety systems as applicable. Supervise pressure testing, flushing, cleaning, testing, balancing, functional testing, pre-commissioning, and commissioning of MEP systems. Coordinate with electrical and commissioning teams to ensure proper integration of MEP systems with power, control, BMS, and other building systems. Ensure MEP works comply with applicable international standards, UAE regulations, authority requirements, project specifications, and client standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, quality, and compliance with approved requirements. Coordinate inspections with QA/QC teams and ensure timely closure of inspection requests, punch points, and non-conformance reports. Monitor MEP material consumption, manpower, productivity, equipment utilization, and subcontractor performance. Assist in reviewing quantities, BOQs, variations, additional works, and material requirements. Identify technical, construction, procurement, and interface risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures. Ensure compliance with project HSE procedures, risk assessments, permit-to-work requirements, and safe working practices. Participate in technical coordination meetings, progress reviews, client meetings, and consultant discussions. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports and provide technical updates to project management. Maintain engineering and construction records, inspection reports, testing documentation, approved drawings, commissioning records, and as-built documentation. Support snagging, rectification, testing, commissioning, project completion, and final handover activities. Provide technical guidance and mentoring to junior engineers, supervisors, and site personnel. Support continuous improvement, value engineering, productivity enhancement, and cost optimization initiatives.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, MEP Engineering, or a related discipline. Typically 7–10 years of relevant MEP engineering and construction experience, preferably within power, EPC, infrastructure, industrial, or large-scale construction projects. Strong experience in multidisciplinary MEP engineering, installation, testing, commissioning, and site execution. Good knowledge of HVAC, ventilation, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, fire alarm, and associated building services. Experience with MEP systems for substations, control buildings, utility buildings, industrial facilities, or infrastructure projects. Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, schematics, layouts, specifications, equipment schedules, and technical documentation. Strong experience coordinating MEP interfaces with civil, structural, electrical, and architectural disciplines. Knowledge of relevant international standards, UAE regulations, authority requirements, and applicable MEP codes. Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, consultants, and multidisciplinary site teams. Good understanding of QA/QC procedures, ITPs, inspection requirements, testing, commissioning, and handover processes. Knowledge of project planning, scheduling, resource management, material control, and construction methodologies. Proficiency in MS Office and relevant engineering/design software. Strong analytical, technical, communication, coordination, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver MEP works within project timelines, quality standards, and budget requirements. UAE/GCC project experience is preferred. Preferred Experience in power infrastructure, substations, transmission/distribution projects, or major EPC projects. Experience with MEP works associated with HV/EHV substations and control buildings. Exposure to HVAC, fire protection, plumbing, drainage, ventilation, BMS, and building services integration. Experience with UAE utility/client requirements such as DEWA, TAQA/TRANSCO, or equivalent authorities will be an advantage. Experience working with major EPC contractors, engineering consultants, and utility clients. Professional engineering certification or relevant MEP qualification will be an advantage.
