Senior Laravel Developer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced Laravel developer to join our team. You will own the build and maintenance of applications that carry real traffic, so we care most about depth in PHP, sound architecture instincts and the discipline to write code others can pick up. What will you do Build and maintain web applications on Laravel Design database structures and queries for high-load, high-traffic environments Optimise performance and scalability through caching, indexing and query tuning Design RESTful APIs and integrate them with front-end frameworks Build custom integrations with third-party services such as payment gateways, messaging providers and social platforms Work with asynchronous processing, message queues and event-driven patterns Support deployment and server management across AWS or similar cloud environments Write clean, testable code and take part in code reviews with constructive feedback Maintain clear documentation for the applications and systems you work on Evaluate new tools and techniques, including serverless, microservices and containerisation, and bring the useful ones into our workflow Collaborate with designers, project managers and fellow developers to hit project requirements and deadlines Desired Candidate Profile At least 5 years building with Laravel Strong PHP fundamentals: object-oriented programming, design patterns and established best practices Solid MySQL experience, including complex schemas and query optimisation under load Comfortable with Git, SSH and standard version control workflows Strong problem-solving skills and close attention to detail Able to work independently and within a team Good written and spoken English Nice to have Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field Front-end experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript DevOps exposure, particularly automation and infrastructure as code Hands-on work with serverless architectures, microservices or containerisation Employment Type Full-time Company Industry IT - Software Services Department / Functional Area Software DevelopmentApplication Development (IT Software) Keywords Laravel DeveloperRESTfulAPI DevelopmentPHPMysqlGITSSHHTMLCSSJava ScriptAWS Get real-time job updates only on our App
