Senior Machine Learning Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities The role You ll work across the full machine learning lifecycle, from data preparation and model development through to deployment, monitoring and optimisation in production. A big part of the role will be building scalable ML systems that can perform reliably in complex, high-impact environments. You ll work closely with Software Engineers, Data Scientists and Product teams to integrate models into wider applications and platforms. The work will cover areas such as NLP, LLMs and large-scale AI systems, with scope to contribute to architecture, technical direction and the wider engineering standards used across the team. You ll also help improve model performance, reliability and maintainability, while making sure systems meet the security and scalability requirements expected in production. Desired Candidate Profile Strong commercial experience in Machine Learning Engineering or a similar role. Solid experience across machine learning, deep learning and statistical modelling. Proven experience building and deploying models into production. Strong Python skills and hands-on experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX. Experience working with large datasets and production ML pipelines. Good understanding of NLP, LLMs or other large-scale AI systems. Familiarity with cloud platforms, containers and modern MLOps practices. Comfortable working in fast-moving, highly technical engineering environments. Experience with generative AI, distributed systems, high-performance computing or regulated industries would be a plus.
