Senior Material Engineer

Responsibilities

• Prepare the material submittals and obtain the required approvals according to the applicable standards and project specifications
• Serves as the focal point for the scheduling and control of construction materials at the job site
• Coordinates work of consultants/ contractors for material testing
• Maintains office files related to the project, material inspections and writes daily diaries
• Prepares daily reports and other documentation, as required by the contract
• Verifies that only approved materials are incorporated in the work
• Recognizes potential conflicts, issues and problems on construction materials, and reports to QAQC team with proposed solution
• Collects, reviews and files Certificate of Compliance, MSDS, inspection tags and other information relevant to the materials used
• Participates in the development of quality control reports and procedures Prepare plan for the onsite testing of materials in coordination with the QAQC Department and Construction team
• Check material delivered are as approved and properly stored
• Prepare and update the project finishing schedule with all material information which as per approved material submittal and related RFI and letter
• Review the Sub-contractor's material submittal as per BOQ and specification

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering 5+ Years of relevant work experience Employment Type Full-time
