Senior Planning Engineer (Oil & Gas)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities To lead project planning, scheduling, progress monitoring, and reporting activities for Oil & Gas flowline projects, ensuring timely completion within approved budgets while complying with client specifications, contract requirements, and company procedures. Key Responsibilities Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. Prepare Level 3 & Level 4 project schedules, resource-loaded schedules, and manpower histograms. Develop project baselines, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project execution schedules. Monitor project progress and identify schedule deviations, delays, and critical activities. Perform critical path analysis (CPA) and recommend recovery plans. Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement, Construction, QA/QC, HSE, and subcontractors to ensure schedule compliance. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, S-curves, manpower histograms, and earned value reports. Conduct schedule risk analysis and recommend mitigation measures. Review contractor and subcontractor schedules and monitor their performance. Participate in project review meetings with clients and consultants. Evaluate Extension of Time (EOT) claims and prepare delay analysis when required. Monitor productivity, resource utilization, and project KPIs. Ensure project milestones and contractual deliverables are achieved. Support tender planning by preparing preliminary schedules and resource requirements. Coordinate shutdown and tie-in activities where applicable. Ensure compliance with client planning procedures, contract requirements, and company standards. Desired Candidate Profile Minimum 10–15 years of planning experience in Oil & Gas EPC projects. At least 5 years of experience in Qatar or GCC. Proven experience in flowline, pipeline, cross-country pipeline, wellhead, gathering station, and brownfield projects. Experience with major clients such as QatarEnergy, QatarEnergy LNG, QatarGas, RasGas, or equivalent GCC operators is preferred.
