Senior QAQC Engineer (12 months and Renewable)

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Implement quality assurance/quality control management system at vendor/subcontractor site as per approved project quality plan; Inspection and test plans & relevant project specifications. Review of material requisitions, Technical clarifications from vendors and support project team on quality matters. Review & approve of vendor related quality documents (ITP, NDE/Test procedures, quality plans etc). Witness inspections/tests as per approved procedures and inspection plan at vendor works. Coordinate with TPI/client/vendors/subcontractors to schedule inspections and review reports for compliance with respective purchase orders. Follow-up and report status of inspections & testing activities to project team on weekly & monthly basis. Participate in weekly/monthly meetings and respond/resolve any quality related issues. In the role of lead/internal auditor perform audits and issue reports as per the audit schedule. As required develop project specific check lists for jobs to be executed. Track and expedite deliverables from sub-contractor/vendors. Participate in resolution of quality issues and manage all Non-conforming reports. Ability to review and evaluate inspection reports technically in accordance to code/client requirements. Ensure inspection & test reports are maintained and progressively compiled in Manufacturers Record Book (MRB). Review & approve Manufacturers Record Books from Sub-contractors/Vendors. Assist DCC in preparation of Final Manufacturers Record Book for the project. Consistently adhere to the Project Objectives and Priorities, Safety, Regulatory / Environmental, Quality and Schedule expectations. Desired Candidate Profile Qualification: Minimum – Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering. Certifications: AWS-CWI/SCWI or CSWIP 3.1/3.2 ASNT Level-II/III NDT Methods RT, UT, PT, MT ISO 9001-2015-internal/lead auditor Bgas / NACE – Coating inspections (Preferred) Knowledge: Proficient on various components-pressure vessels, heat exchangers, valves, pumps and other packaged items. Well versed in Welding process & Techniques; MTC review; NDT-RT, UT, PT, MT, VT; Surface Preparation & Painting Inspections; Pre-commissioning activities; proficient in construction codes & standards ASME, ASTM, AWS, BS, EEMUA, etc. Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience as QAQC coordinator/ Engineer on EPC projects within Oil and Gas Industry Skills: Strong analytical skills and problem solving abilities. Strong administrative and organizational skills The job role includes travel(UAE & International), candidate with valid UAE Driving License is mandatory.
