Senior Solution & Security Architect - Banking

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are looking for an experienced Senior Solution Architect with strong expertise in Solution Architecture and Security Architecture to support Digital Products and Wealth Management initiatives within a leading banking environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise across modern enterprise architectures, banking and wealth management domains, cyber security controls, and cloud-native technologies. The role requires a highly solution-oriented individual with strong leadership capabilities and experience designing resilient, secure, scalable, and high-performing enterprise applications. The successful candidate will work closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver end-to-end architectural solutions aligned with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and industry best practices. Key Responsibilities Design and architect end-to-end enterprise solutions across Digital Products and Wealth Management platforms. Define and maintain architecture standards, principles, reference architectures, and reusable solution blueprints. Deliver secure, scalable, resilient, and cloud-native architecture designs aligned with business and technology strategies. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including delivery, engineering, infrastructure, security, and business stakeholders. Participate in architecture governance, peer reviews, and technical design workshops. Drive architectural decisions across applications, APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices ecosystems. Ensure all architecture designs incorporate performance, reliability, customer experience, resiliency, and security considerations. Mentor and coach junior architects and engineering teams where required. Contribute to architecture capability building initiatives, technical workshops, and best practice frameworks. Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and architecture patterns to improve enterprise delivery capabilities. Domain Experience (Mandatory) Strong experience in one or more of the following domains: Banking, Wealth Management, Asset Management, Lending, Financial Services Preferred: Corporate Banking domain experience. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and adapt to new banking domains and business capabilities. Technical Skills & Experience Architecture & Solution Design 8+ years of experience designing enterprise-scale solutions and architectures. Strong experience building High-Level Designs (HLDs) and end-to-end solution architectures. Expertise designing: Backend applications, Frontend applications, Mobile applications, APIs, Microservices architectures, Event-driven architectures, Message brokers, Container-based applications, Cloud-native applications Experience designing highly available, resilient, and scalable enterprise systems. Microservices & Cloud Technologies Strong experience with: API-based ecosystems, Microservices architecture, Event streams and messaging systems, Container-based infrastructure, Cloud-native architectures, Modern architectural design patterns and principles Ability to evaluate architectural trade-offs and justify design decisions based on business and technical requirements. Security Architecture (Mandatory) Strong understanding of: Security Architecture principles, Data Classification frameworks, Regulatory compliance requirements, Threat Modelling methodologies, Security requirements engineering Experience implementing cyber and information security controls including: Authentication, Authorization, Encryption standards and key management, Data security controls, Security event logging, Monitoring and alerting mechanisms Regulatory & Compliance Knowledge Exposure to: PCI-DSS, UAE Central Bank regulations, GDPR, Banking regulatory and compliance requirements Cyber Security Working knowledge of: Cyber security controls, Secure application design principles, Defensive security practices, Security architecture frameworks, System attack and defence methodologies Artificial Intelligence (Preferred) Exposure to modern AI technologies including: Machine Learning, Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Embedding Models, Vector Databases, Model Context Protocol (MCP), AI Agents, Agentic AI, GitHub Copilot, Claude, Code AI-assisted software engineering tools Agile Delivery Experience Strong experience working in Agile environments including: Agile Tribes and Squads model, Sprint Planning, Quarterly Planning, Sprint Refinement, Sprint Retrospectives, Agile ceremonies and delivery frameworks Experience delivering: Features, Epics, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria Required Competencies Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities.
