Senior Virtual Desktop Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities About the Role: We are seeking a Senior Virtual Desktop Engineer based in Cairo to design, implement, and manage scalable virtual desktop infrastructures. You will leverage your deep expertise in Azure Virtual Desktop, Nerdio, and FSLogix to deliver high-performance, secure virtual environments for our global users. This is a hands-on role requiring 5 7 years of VDI experience and a proactive approach to automation and performance optimization. Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and maintain Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments Implement and manage Nerdio Manager for Enterprise solutions Configure and support FSLogix profile containers and application masking Monitor and optimize virtual desktop performance and user experience Develop automation scripts and infrastructure-as-code (PowerShell, ARM, Terraform) for provisioning and updates Troubleshoot and resolve complex VDI, networking, and identity issues Collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to ensure compliance and integration Provide technical guidance, mentoring, and documentation for team members Desired Candidate Profile Required Qualifications: 5 – 7 years of experience designing and supporting virtual desktop infrastructures Hands-on expertise with Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployment and management Proficiency with Nerdio Manager for Enterprise administration Experience configuring and troubleshooting FSLogix profile containers Strong Windows Server, Active Directory, and Group Policy knowledge Scripting skills in PowerShell and experience with infrastructure-as-code Solid understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, load balancing) Preferred Qualifications: Microsoft Azure certifications (e.g., Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect) Experience with other VDI platforms such as Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops or VMware Horizon Familiarity with automation and configuration tools (Ansible, PowerShell DSC) Experience with Intune and Microsoft Endpoint Manager Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Arabic Prior experience working in global or matrixed IT environments Company Industry RecruitmentPlacement FirmExecutive Search Department / Functional Area IT Software Keywords Senior Virtual Desktop Engineer Get real-time job updates only on our App
