Site Engineer Mechanical

Supervise and monitor the installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and ventilation systems, ensuring compliance with project specifications and applicable standards. Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and other disciplines to ensure smooth execution of mechanical works and timely resolution of site-related technical issues. Review shop drawings, method statements, material submittals, and technical documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements. Conduct site inspections and quality checks to ensure work is executed in accordance with approved drawings, safety regulations, and quality standards. Monitor project progress, manpower productivity, and material usage, and provide regular updates to the Project Manager. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports, inspection requests, and other project-related documentation. Coordinate testing and commissioning activities and assist in obtaining approvals from consultants and relevant authorities. Ensure adherence to HSE policies and maintain a safe working environment at all times.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent qualification. Minimum 4-8 years of experience as a Mechanical Site Engineer with a reputable MEP or construction contractor in the UAE/GCC. Strong hands-on experience in the installation and execution of HVAC systems, including chilled water systems, ductwork, ventilation, air conditioning units, and associated mechanical services. Sound knowledge of plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and building services systems. Proficient in interpreting mechanical drawings, shop drawings, coordination drawings, and technical specifications. Familiarity with local authority requirements, international codes, and industry standards related to mechanical and HVAC works. Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office, and project management/reporting tools. Strong communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple site activities effectively. UAE driving license will be an added advantage.
