Software Operations Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Operations and support as 3rd line to the customer IT system. Role Profile Timely response and support in resolution of customer escalated cases. Identifying root cause and handling incidents at the problem management level. Participation in the deployment and support of IT systems and applications. Update current software systems, patching and making improvement suggestions. Create well designed, testable, efficient code/tools for monitoring, alarming and support of IT systems and applications. Assist in preparation for production deployment of software components release. Desired Candidate Profile Competencies and Qualifications Deliver under pressure. Flexibility to work under stress. Strong time management skills. Excellent interpersonal skills. Documentation skills. Proficiency in English (both spoken and written) a must. Must have technical/ professional qualifications: 1.Bachelor s degree Computer Science / Engineering or related field. 2.Good Linux system administration knowledge. 3.Basic understanding with network protocols and components. 4.Basic understanding of basic database administration. 5.Basic understanding of Docker, Kubernetes and containerized applications. 6.Good Knowledge of Automation and scripting. 7.Basic understanding of Monitoring tools (Prometheus, Grafana and ELK). 8.Basic understanding of DevOPs concepts. 9.Basic understanding of virtualization and virtualization software. 10.Basic knowledge about AWS, OpenShift and cloud solutions.
