Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to each student's unique learning needs and goals, ensuring compliance with legal mandates. Assess students' academic, social, and emotional development through formal and informal assessments, using data to inform instruction and track progress. Collaborate with general education teachers, specialists, and parents to create a cohesive support system that promotes student success and well-being. Provide direct instruction and support to students in individual or small group settings, utilizing evidence-based practices and differentiated instruction. Manage and monitor student behavior, implementing positive behavior intervention strategies to create a safe and supportive learning environment. Maintain accurate and comprehensive student records, including progress reports, IEP documentation, and communication logs, adhering to confidentiality standards. Communicate regularly with parents and guardians regarding student progress, concerns, and strategies for supporting learning at home. Stay current with special education research, best practices, and legal requirements through professional development and training opportunities. Desired Candidate Profile Possesses a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education or a related field, demonstrating a strong foundation in educational theory and practice. Demonstrates experience in working with students with diverse learning needs and disabilities, showcasing a practical understanding of special education. Has a minimum of 2 years of experience working in an educational setting with students with special needs, having developed practical skills.
