Stores & Logistics Supervisor
Job Overview
Store Operations Run the day-to-day operation of the store, including receiving, inspection, storage, issuing, and returns Ensure materials are properly stored, labelled, and protected, with correct handling of fire-rated, moisture-sensitive, and hazardous items Maintain accurate stock records and conduct regular cycle counts and periodic stock takes Control wastage, damage, and loss through good housekeeping and clear issue procedures Team Leadership Supervise, train, and schedule 2-4 storekeepers and helpers Assign daily tasks, check performance, and ensure discipline, HSE compliance, and good working practices Train the team to record transactions correctly and on time in the system Build clear procedures and checklists so the store runs smoothly even when you are absent Inventory and ERP Management Ensure all stock movements are recorded in ERPNext on the same day: purchase receipts, material issues, material transfers, returns, and stock adjustments Manage item master data, including item codes, units of measure, groups, and warehouse locations Run stock reconciliations and resolve differences between physical and system stock Set and maintain minimum and reorder levels for critical items Raise and follow up Material Requests and coordinate with Procurement on Purchase Orders Verify deliveries against POs, delivery notes, and invoices, then report discrepancies Track stock issued to projects and cost centres against approved requisitions Generate stock ledger, stock balance, and aging reports for management Logistics and Documentation Coordinate inbound and outbound transport, customs documentation, and clearance with freight agents where required Maintain GRNs, material issue vouchers, delivery notes, and asset or tool registers Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly stock and movement reports Coordinate with project and site teams so materials are ready when needed Safety and Compliance Enforce HSE rules, safe lifting, and safe storage practices Maintain a clean, organised, and audit-ready store Keep records for client, class, and third-party audits
Desired Candidate Profile
Education Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (Business, Industrial, or Operations Management) Experience 2-4 years of store or warehouse experience, with at least 1 year supervising or leading a team Experience in marine, offshore, oil and gas, construction, fit-out, manufacturing, or project-based stores is a strong advantage Skills and Attributes Strong knowledge of inventory management, stock control, and receiving and issuing procedures Working knowledge of ERPNext is preferred, particularly the Stock, Buying, and Projects modules. Candidates with experience in other ERP or inventory systems (SAP, Odoo, Oracle, Tally, or similar) who can learn ERPNext quickly will also be considered Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, stock reports) Good understanding of procurement flow, purchase orders, GRNs, and supplier coordination Basic knowledge of import and export documentation and customs procedures in the UAE Good leadership, communication, and organisational skills Honest, detail-oriented, and proactive, with a strong sense of ownership Comfortable working in a store, yard, or site environment in UAE conditions Good command of English; Arabic or Hindi/Urdu is an advantage Nice to Have Hands-on ERPNext experience such as stock entries, batch and serial number tracking, warehouse setup, and custom reports Experience handling construction, interior fit-out, or marine materials Knowledge of material certification and traceability requirements (e.g., class or fire-rated materials) Forklift or material handling equipment awareness Basic HSE certification (IOSH, NEBOSH, or similar) Valid UAE driving licence Employment Type Full-time
