Job Title: System Senior Engineer Reports To: IT Infrastructure Manager / Systems Manager Job Details Number of Vacancies: 2 Positions Salary Range: OMR PHONE_NUMBER per month Work Location: All Governorates of Oman except Dhofar (Preference will be given to applicants from the local governorate) Job Purpose The System Senior Engineer is responsible for supporting the administration, maintenance, and optimization of the organization's IT infrastructure and enterprise systems. The role ensures the availability, reliability, security, and performance of servers, operating systems, virtualization platforms, and related infrastructure while providing technical support for system implementation, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Install, configure, monitor, and maintain servers, operating systems, and enterprise infrastructure. Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity to ensure reliable business operations. Perform system administration tasks, including user account management, access control, and system configuration. Troubleshoot and resolve system, server, and infrastructure-related incidents. Support the implementation of new systems, upgrades, patches, and infrastructure enhancements. Perform system health checks, preventive maintenance, and performance optimization. Assist in backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity activities. Ensure compliance with IT security policies and infrastructure standards. Maintain technical documentation, system configurations, and operational procedures. Coordinate with vendors and technical teams to resolve infrastructure issues. Participate in infrastructure projects, testing, and technology improvement initiatives. Perform any other duties assigned by management within the scope of the role. Working Conditions Office-based work environment. Regular collaboration with IT Infrastructure, Network, Cybersecurity, and business teams. May occasionally be required to provide after-hours support during planned maintenance, system upgrades, or critical incidents. Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Experience Practical Experience: 0 (No prior work experience required) Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Technical Skills Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Linux operating systems. Understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy concepts. Basic understanding of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V. Familiarity with backup and recovery solutions. Basic knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and network security. Understanding of cloud computing platforms (Microsoft Azure or AWS) is an advantage. Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills. Soft Skills Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Good organizational and time management skills.
