Construction / Main Contracting � Work Type: Full-Time | Office-Based We are looking for an experienced Technical Manager to lead the technical function for a well-established contracting company in Dubai. This is a senior office-based position responsible for managing technical activities across multiple construction projects, coordinating multidisciplinary engineering teams, and ensuring projects are technically compliant, buildable, and delivered efficiently. � Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the Technical Department across multiple projects. Coordinate Architectural, Structural, Civil, MEP and other engineering disciplines. Review and approve IFC drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, method statements and RFIs. Lead technical coordination with consultants, clients, subcontractors and suppliers. Identify and resolve technical issues before they impact construction, cost or schedule. Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, authority requirements, project specifications and contracts. Review design changes, technical proposals and value engineering opportunities. Support project teams with constructability reviews and technical solutions. Establish technical procedures, workflows and documentation standards. Monitor technical submissions, approvals and design deliverables across projects. Lead, mentor and develop technical engineers, coordinators, architects and draftsmen. Provide technical reports, recommendations and updates to senior management. Participate in tender reviews and provide technical input during pre-construction and planning stages. Desired Candidate Profile � Requirements ✅ Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Structural Engineering or related field. ✅ 12–18+ years of experience in construction / main contracting. ✅ Strong UAE construction experience is highly preferred. ✅ Proven experience in a Technical Manager / Head of Technical / Technical Director position. ✅ Strong experience with building construction projects, preferably high-rise, residential, commercial or mixed-use developments. ✅ Excellent knowledge of IFC drawings, shop drawings, RFIs, material submittals and technical documentation. ✅ Strong understanding of UAE codes, regulations and authority approval processes. ✅ Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary technical teams. ✅ Strong consultant, client and subcontractor coordination skills. ✅ Experience with BIM / Revit / AutoCAD is an advantage. ✅ Excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
