Warranty Administrator
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Manage and oversee warranty operations in line with BYD and company policies and procedures. Process warranty claims accurately and within required timelines to maximize claim acceptance and revenue recovery. Provide technical and operational guidance to the warranty team on warranty-related matters. Monitor warranty performance, identify improvement opportunities, and support the achievement of departmental targets. Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly warranty performance reports and KPIs. Support and participate in warranty audits, ensuring compliance with OEM and internal requirements. Reconcile warranty accounts, credit notes, and remittances in accordance with financial guidelines. Collaborate with Aftersales, Parts, Technical, Finance, and OEM stakeholders to resolve warranty-related issues efficiently. Conduct on-the-job training and provide support to Warranty staff and Service Advisors. Support visiting OEM representatives and maintain excellent working relationships with manufacturer partners. Desired Candidate Profile Strong understanding of automotive warranty processes and OEM warranty standards. Experience managing warranty claims, submissions, reconciliations, and audits. Excellent analytical and reporting skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to identify and resolve warranty-related issues effectively. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines. Strong organizational and time management capabilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel. Ability to coach, mentor, and support team members. What equips you for the role: Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field. Minimum 5 years of automotive distributor experience. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Warranty Administrator. Strong knowledge of automotive warranty processes and OEM claim procedures. Hands-on experience with SAP IS-Auto and/or SAP S/4HANA is mandatory. Experience working with OEM DMS and warranty systems. Strong Microsoft Office proficiency. Excellent communication and presentation skills. High levels of integrity, professionalism, and accountability. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced aftersales environment.
