Accountant

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage the Company's accounting and financial reporting functions. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a startup or SME environment with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
• Ensure accurate and timely month-end and year-end closing
• Maintain the general ledger, reconciliations, and accounting records
• Coordinate and prepare schedules required for external audits and ensure audit readiness
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory, and cash management
• Ensure compliance with UAE accounting, VAT, corporate tax, and regulatory requirements
• Work closely with the Bookkeeping Clerk to maintain accurate records and supporting documentation
• Support management with financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting
• Maintain accurate inventory valuation and cost accounting records
• Prepare management reports and financial insights to support business decisions

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a startup, SME, retail, manufacturing, F&B, or consumer goods environment
• Strong knowledge of financial reporting, reconciliations, audit preparation, and financial controls
• Experience in inventory accounting, cost accounting, and manufacturing accounting
• Experience managing accounting for multiple entities and intercompany transactions
• Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, Zoho Books, or similar
• Ability to work independently, establish accounting processes, and meet deadlines without reliance on a large finance team
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Experience preparing companies for external audit and liaising with auditors
