Cost Accountant Team Leader

. Lead and supervise the cost accounting team in daily activities, ensuring tasks are completed accurately and on time. . Review and approve project cost allocations, ensuring expenses are properly categorized between direct, indirect, and overhead costs. . Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, and financial performance summaries. . Oversee the monthly closing process for all cost-related activities, ensuring accurate entries and reconciliations. . Monitor and analyze actual project costs versus budgets, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions. . Develop and maintain standardized cost models and templates for consistent reporting across all projects and departments. . Support the preparation of quarterly budgets and rolling forecasts, incorporating project cost trends and financial projections. . Prepare profitability reports and variance analyses by project, cost center, and division to support management decision-making. . Coordinate the preparation of project cost dashboards, highlighting key metrics such as POC (Percentage of Completion), cost-to-complete, and backlog. . Supervise the preparation of inventory valuation and aging reports, analyzing material usage and waste. . Collaborate with Project Control, Procurement, and Operations to validate cost data and ensure accurate expense recording. . Conduct cost-driver analysis to identify areas for cost reduction, efficiency enhancement, and improved utilization of resources.

International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) is a plus. . 7+ years of experience in accounting or cost control, including at least 1 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role within the construction or industrial sector.
