Dermatology Technician

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Assist dermatologists during patient consultations, examinations, and dermatological procedures. Prepare patients for skin assessments and treatments. Prepare treatment rooms, instruments, and dermatology equipment before procedures. Assist with procedures such as chemical peels, facials, laser treatments, cryotherapy, and other treatments as directed by the dermatologist. Operate dermatology and aesthetic equipment according to training, manufacturer guidelines, and clinic protocols. Take and maintain patient photographs and treatment records when required. Prepare and apply prescribed topical products under the supervision of the dermatologist. Assist with wound care, dressing changes, and post-procedure care. Explain pre-treatment and post-treatment instructions to patients. Monitor patients during and after procedures and report any adverse reactions or concerns immediately. Desired Candidate Profile Diploma or certificate in Dermatology, Nursing, Medical Assisting, or a related healthcare field. Previous experience in a dermatology, aesthetic, or medical clinic is preferred. Knowledge of basic dermatological procedures, skin care, infection control, and patient safety. Experience operating dermatology/aesthetic equipment is an advantage. Good understanding of pre- and post-treatment patient care. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to assist dermatologists and work effectively as part of a healthcare team.
