Draughtsman -Dubai Road and Infrastructure

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop detailed engineering drawings for road and infrastructure projects, meticulously adhering to Dubai Municipality standards and specifications. Translate conceptual designs and survey data into precise technical drawings using CAD software, ensuring accuracy in dimensions, materials, and construction methods. Collaborate closely with civil engineers, project managers, and site supervisors to interpret design intent and resolve any discrepancies in drawings. Produce comprehensive sets of construction drawings, including plans, sections, elevations, and details, for tendering and construction phases. Perform quantity take-offs and material estimations directly from drawings to support procurement and cost control efforts. Review and update existing infrastructure drawings, incorporating as-built information and changes resulting from project modifications. Ensure compliance with all relevant local regulations, safety standards, and environmental guidelines throughout the drawing production process. Prepare and manage drawing registers, transmittals, and revision control to maintain an organized and up-to-date documentation system. Assist in the preparation of technical reports and presentations by generating clear and informative graphical representations of project data. Contribute to value engineering by suggesting cost-effective design alternatives and constructible solutions through accurate drafting. Desired Candidate Profile Proficient in AutoCAD and relevant Civil 3D software, with a proven ability to produce complex 2D and 3D drawings. Familiarity with Dubai Municipality's drawing standards, submission procedures, and regulatory requirements. Strong understanding of civil engineering concepts, surveying principles, and construction methodologies for roads, drainage, and utilities. Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, crucial for producing error-free technical documentation. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to liaise with project teams and stakeholders. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team, managing multiple tasks and deadlines efficiently. A keen eye for design aesthetics and functionality, ensuring drawings are not only technically correct but also visually clear. Physical ability to visit project sites for verification and information gathering when required.
