Electrical & Lighting Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrical & Lighting Engineer to join our team. The Electrical & Lighting Engineer will be responsible for supporting the design review, planning, supervision, and execution of electrical and street lighting works, ensuring adherence to engineering standards, safety protocols, and project timelines. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in electrical systems, lighting installations, power distribution, and construction supervision. Responsibilities: Review electrical and lighting drawings, shop drawings, material submittals, inspection requests, and method statements. Inspect installation of lighting poles, cables, conduits, panels, earthing systems, and related electrical infrastructure works. Verify construction activities against approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements, and safety standards. Coordinate with contractors, inspectors, consultants, and utility stakeholders to resolve technical and site-related issues. Support testing and commissioning activities, including insulation resistance tests, continuity tests, functional checks, and lighting performance verification. Review as-built drawings, test records, inspection checklists, and handover documentation for completeness and accuracy. Prepare inspection reports, technical comments, and progress updates as required by the project team. Support risk identification and implementation of corrective actions during construction and commissioning activities. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Proven work experience of at least 5 to 7 years in electrical works, street lighting, power distribution, and infrastructure construction supervision. Good knowledge of street lighting systems, cable routing, panels, earthing, protection devices, electrical testing, and installation practices. Proficiency in using CAD software, lighting design software, electrical calculation tools, and Microsoft Office applications. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to review technical documents and resolve site issues. Excellent communication and coordination skills with contractors, clients, authorities, and project teams. Construction and supervision of electrical and lighting works, preferably fluent in Arabic and English (spoken and written).
