Finance & Accounting Manager - Shipping

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities About the Role We are seeking an experienced Finance & Accounting Manager to lead all financial and accounting activities within the maritime business. The role will oversee financial reporting, vessel accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial controls while supporting operational and commercial decision-making. Key Responsibilities Lead all accounting and financial reporting activities. Oversee vessel accounting and voyage-related financial transactions. Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes. Prepare management reports and financial performance analyses. Lead budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities. Monitor cash flow, liquidity, and working capital requirements. Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Manage relationships with auditors, banks, and external stakeholders. Develop and strengthen internal controls and governance processes. Support commercial and operational teams with financial insights and analysis. Identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency enhancement. Requirements Minimum 5 years of finance and accounting experience within the maritime/shipping industry. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. A professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CPA, CMA, ACA, or equivalent) is an advantage. Previous experience within a shipping company, ship management company, or vessel-owning organization is required. Strong knowledge of vessel accounting and shipping finance. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management. Strong analytical and business partnering skills. Advanced Excel and financial systems knowledge. Native/Advanced level of Turkish & Fluent English. Desired Candidate Profile Minimum 5 years of finance and accounting experience within the maritime/shipping industry.
