Job Overview
Purpose of Position: The Finance Manager will serve as the senior finance leader responsible for the overall financial management, financial strategy, governance and commercial performance of the manufacturing business in Kizad. The position will act as a strategic finance partner to the CEO, Group CFO and senior management, providing financial leadership and insight to support business growth, profitability, operational efficiency and informed executive decision-making. The role will have full oversight of financial planning and analysis, budgeting and forecasting, manufacturing and cost accounting, working capital, cash flow, treasury, financial reporting, internal controls, taxation, audit, compliance, risk management and finance transformation. A critical responsibility will be to develop robust manufacturing finance controls covering product costing, standard costing, inventory valuation, production variances, material consumption, yield, scrap, overhead absorption, CAPEX and plant profitability. This is a senior leadership position and not a transactional accounting role. The successful candidate must have substantial finance leadership experience within a large manufacturing/industrial organisation and demonstrated experience working closely with C-suite leadership, Owners and senior operational stakeholders.
Job Requirements
- Finance Leadership & Business Partnership Lead the complete finance function for TTC/manufacturing operations
- Act as the principal finance business partner to the CEO, Group CFO and senior management team
- Provide strategic financial advice and commercial recommendations to senior leadership
- Translate financial data into actionable business insights to support operational and strategic decisionmaking
- Participate in senior management reviews covering business performance, profitability, investments, expansion and strategic initiatives
- Challenge operational and commercial assumptions where necessary and ensure decisions are supported by robust financial analysis
- Develop and strengthen the finance organisation, ensuring appropriate capabilities, succession and accountability within the team
- Financial Planning, Budgeting & Forecasting Lead the annual budgeting and business-planning process
- Develop short-, medium- and long-term financial forecasts
- Establish departmental and plant budgets in coordination with operational and functional heads
- Monitor actual performance against budget, forecast and prior year
- Analyse significant variances and ensure corrective actions are identified with relevant business leaders
- Develop scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support management decisions
- Provide rolling forecasts for revenue, EBITDA, cash flow, working capital and CAPEX. Manufacturing Finance & Cost Control This should be one of the most important areas of the position
- Own and continuously improve the Company's manufacturing costing framework
- Oversee standard costing, actual costing and product profitability
- Analyse raw-material consumption, production costs, conversion costs, labour costs, overhead absorption and manufacturing variances
- Monitor yield, wastage, scrap and production efficiencies from a financial perspective
- Establish accurate cost-per-unit/product/SKU reporting
- Partner closely with Production, Planning, Procurement, Inventory, Maintenance and Commercial teams to identify opportunities for cost optimisation
- Monitor steel/raw-material price movements and their impact on margins and inventory valuation
- Working Capital & Cash Flow Management Take ownership of working-capital optimisation across the manufacturing business
- Closely monitor inventory, receivables, payables and cash-conversion cycle
- Develop cash-flow forecasts and ensure adequate liquidity for business requirements
- Work with Sales/Credit Control to improve collections and reduce overdue receivables
- Work with Procurement to optimise supplier payment terms
- Monitor inventory levels and identify slow-moving, obsolete and excess inventory
- Establish and monitor working-capital KPIs
- Treasury & Banking Oversee banking relationships and treasury requirements in coordination with Group Finance
- Manage cash positions, facilities and utilisation
- Monitor financing costs and banking charges
- Support negotiations relating to banking facilities, working-capital lines and other financing requirements
- Ensure appropriate controls over payments, bank accounts and authorised signatories
- CAPEX & Investment Evaluation Establish financial controls around capital expenditure
- Review and challenge CAPEX proposals from manufacturing and operational departments
- Conduct ROI, IRR, NPV and payback analysis for significant investments
- Monitor approved CAPEX against budget
- Conduct post-investment reviews to assess whether expected financial benefits were achieved
- Internal Controls, Governance & Risk Establish and maintain a robust financial-control environment
- Ensure appropriate segregation of duties, approval matrices and financial authorities
- Review financial and operational processes and identify control weaknesses
- Ensure compliance with Group policies and governance standards
- Identify financial, commercial and operational risks and recommend appropriate mitigation
- Strengthen controls surrounding procurement, inventory, production, sales, payments and capital expenditure Audit, Tax & Statutory Compliance Lead and coordinate annual statutory and external audits
- Ensure timely resolution of audit observations
- Maintain readiness for internal and external audits
- Ensure compliance with applicable UAE Corporate Tax, VAT and other statutory requirements
- Coordinate with auditors, tax advisers, banks and other external professional parties
- Ensure financial statements and records comply with applicable accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- ERP, SAP & Finance Transformation Drive effective utilisation of SAP/ERP systems across the finance and manufacturing functions
- Ensure strong integration between Finance, Procurement, Inventory, Production, Sales and other operational modules
- Improve automation of management reporting and financial controls
- Lead finance-process improvements and digitalisation initiatives
- Ensure master-data and transaction integrity within the ERP environment
Desired Candidate Profile
Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce or a related discipline. Professional finance/accounting qualification such as CA, CMA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent – strongly preferred / ideally mandatory for this seniority. Minimum 15 years of progressive finance experience, with significant experience in senior finance leadership. Minimum 5 years in a senior finance leadership/Head of Finance/Financial Controller/Finance Director-type capacity within a substantial manufacturing or industrial organisation. Steel manufacturing experience is mandatory. Manufacturing industry experience is an absolute must. Strong hands-on experience in manufacturing costing and cost accounting is mandatory. Demonstrable experience partnering directly with CEO/CFO/Csuite executives and senior management. Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, FP&A and management reporting. Advanced understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, EBITDA, working capital and profitability management. Strong experience in inventory valuation, standard costing, variance analysis and manufacturing controls. Employment Type Full-time
