GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Data Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Job Description We are looking for a GCP (Google Cloud Platform) Data Engineer to join our rapidly growing team. In this key role, you will be responsible for the management, optimization and implementation of data solutions on GCP, thus contributing to strategic digital transformation projects. You will work closely with architects, data scientists and development teams to build scalable, secure and high-performance data architectures. Your responsibilities: Design and deployment of cloud solutions : Design, deploy and maintain robust data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (BigQuery, Cloud Storage, Dataflow, Pub/Sub, etc.). Data pipeline management : Setting up and automating data integration, processing and transformation pipelines using GCP tools and associated technologies. Performance optimization : Ensuring the performance, scalability and security of data infrastructures on GCP. Collaboration and support : Work closely with internal teams to understand business needs and provide tailored data solutions. Provide technical support to development and data science teams. Technology watch : Keeping informed of the latest trends and innovations on Google Cloud, particularly in the field of data management and machine learning. Data quality management : Implement processes to ensure data quality, integrity, and security within the GCP infrastructure. Automation and infrastructure as code : Use tools like Terraform, Cloud Deployment Manager to automate the management of GCP infrastructure. Desired Candidate Profile Qualifications Knowledge of GCP (Google Cloud Platform) technologies such as BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Cloud Functions, etc. Proven skill in Python for developing data pipelines, analyzing and manipulating data. Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, for creating dashboards and reports. In-depth knowledge of SQL concepts and their practical implementation. Ability to work with large volumes of data and optimize query performance. Understanding of distributed data architectures and real-time data processing concepts. Excellent written and oral communication : Ability to produce high-quality deliverables and reports. Analytical mindset and continuous improvement: Ability to evaluate code and its impacts, as well as to question existing solutions in order to improve them. Ability to step back and reflect : The ability to evaluate problems objectively and propose solutions for improvement. Team spirit : Ability to collaborate effectively with team members to achieve common goals. My understanding of Agilit concepts ( Scrum , Sprint Planning, Backlog). Keen attention to detail and rigor in the design and implementation of data solutions. PROFILE SOUGHT: A Master's degree (Bac+5) from an engineering school or equivalent university qualification with a specialization in computer science, or equivalent significant experience. Over 7 years of experience in GCP Experience in the retail or mass distribution sector would be an asset.
