GIS Specialist

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop and maintain complex spatial databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient querying for diverse projects. Design, create, and automate the production of high-quality maps and geospatial visualizations for reports and presentations. Perform advanced spatial analysis, including suitability modeling, network analysis, and geostatistics, to derive actionable insights. Integrate and manage diverse datasets from various sources (e.g., GPS, remote sensing, tabular data) into a cohesive GIS environment. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geography, GIS, Computer Science, or a related field, providing a strong theoretical foundation. Proven experience (3-5+ years) in GIS analysis, database management, and cartographic production within a relevant industry (e.g., environmental, urban planning, utilities). Proficiency in core GIS software like ArcGIS Pro, QGIS, and related extensions (Spatial Analyst, Network Analyst). Strong understanding of spatial data formats (e.g., Shapefile, GeoJSON, Geodatabase) and database management systems (e.g., SQL, PostgreSQL).
