GL and AP Accountant

Reporting to the Senior GL Accountant in Cairo, you are responsible for various General Accounting tasks for the Contentsquare entities in accordance with IFRS gaaps. What you ll do General Ledger Accounting Support day-to-day general ledger operations, including journal entries and account reconciliations Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end close activities in accordance with IFRS Gaps Maintain accurate records of prepaid expenses, accruals, and fixed assets Practical experience with VAT and withholding tax is preferred. Support the preparation of internal and external financial reports and assist with internal and external audit requirements. Experience handling accounting activities for multiple entities or countries is a strong advantage. Collaborate cross-functionally with departments such as FP&A, Legal, HR, and Procurement Contribute to process improvement initiatives and ERP system enhancements Support the implementation and documentation of accounting policies and internal controls Supplier Invoice Management Take ownership of supplier invoices: verify data, ensure compliance, and accurately record them through multiple channels (PO-based, direct entry, or bulk upload) Partner with HQ to actively monitor and resolve disputed invoices, maintaining clear communication and swift resolution Safeguard our financial integrity by auditing purchasing card transactions and validating supporting evidence on the Pcard platform Travel & Expense Management Ensure compliance by reviewing employee travel and expense reports against our Group Travel Policy Be the go-to person for T&E support through our ticketing system Empower employees through practical training sessions that simplify the T&E process What you ll need to succeed Degree in Accounting 3 5 years of relevant experience in General Ledger and Accounts Payable accounting. You must be able to speak English fluently, as you will evolve in a truly international environment Highly developed analytical and technical accounting skills Proactive self-starter who is disciplined, organized, thorough and has the ability to work with autonomy, attention to detail and proactivity in a team environment. Excellent communication and motivational skills. Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment, to perform under pressure and meet non-negotiable deadlines Nice-to-have Experience working in the Tech / SAAS sector is beneficial but not essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including VBA Experience working on Workday Financials
