IT Experienced Quality Assurance Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Role Purpose Zain Iraq is actively recruiting to hire an IT Experienced Quality Assurance Engineer who is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web, mobile, and API-based applications through manual testing practices. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify defects, validate requirements, and improve the overall user experience. Key Accountabilities Analyze business and technical requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria. Create, review, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios. Perform functional, regression, integration, smoke, sanity, exploratory, and user acceptance testing. Identify, document, track, and verify software defects using bug tracking tools. Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman or Swagger. Validate UI/UX consistency across different browsers, devices, and platforms. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, grooming, and retrospectives. Collaborate with developers and product teams to ensure timely resolution of issues. Assist in test planning, test estimation, and release validation activities. Maintain testing documentation, reports, and test evidence. Support production issue verification and post-release testing. Desired Candidate Profile Educational Qualifications and Experience Education Bachelor s degree in computer science or a related field Experience 2 3 years of experience in software quality assurance and manual testing. Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and software testing lifecycle (STLC). Experience testing web and mobile applications. Familiarity with API testing tools such as Postman. Experience with defect tracking and test management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps. Good understanding of Agile methodologies. Basic knowledge of SQL and database validation. Familiarity with mobile testing tools and emulator environments.
