Junior Accountant

We are looking for a Junior Accountant to join our Finance & Accounts team in Dubai. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of accounting principles, basic financial reporting, reconciliations and day-to-day accounting operations. This is a suitable opportunity for candidates with 1 3 years of accounting experience who are interested in gaining international work exposure in the UAE. Key Responsibilities Accounting & Finance Maintain daily accounting entries and record financial transactions in accounting software or ERP systems. Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable activities. Prepare invoices, payment vouchers, receipts and other accounting documents. Assist with bank reconciliations, cash book maintenance and petty cash records. Track expenses and ensure proper documentation of financial transactions. Reporting & Compliance Assist in preparing periodic financial reports and statements. Support month-end and year-end closing activities. Assist in preparing documentation for VAT submissions. Maintain accounting records in line with company policies and accounting procedures. Support internal and external audits whenever required. Coordination & Documentation Maintain organised accounting files and financial records. Coordinate with vendors and internal departments for invoice verification and payment-related clarifications. Perform other accounting and finance-related duties assigned by the Finance Manager. Eligibility Criteria Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance or a related field. 1 3 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance. Good understanding of basic accounting principles and financial transactions. Working knowledge of MS Excel and accounting software. Exposure to ERP or accounting systems will be an advantage. Basic knowledge of VAT and accounting documentation. Good numerical skills, attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to work within deadlines and coordinate with team members.
