Planning Engineer – Interior Fit-Out

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Develop, maintain, and monitor detailed project schedules for *interior fit-out and joinery projects*. Prepare baseline programs, detailed execution schedules, look-ahead programs, recovery programs, and revised schedules. Develop project schedules in coordination with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Procurement, Commercial, Design, and other departments. Monitor actual project progress against approved baseline schedules and identify delays and deviations. Collect and validate progress updates from multiple project sites and ensure timely and accurate reporting. Prepare *daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports* for management and project teams. Develop and maintain a *centralized project dashboard* showing the progress, status, delays, critical activities, and expected completion dates of multiple projects in one view. Track key project milestones including design approvals, material submittals, procurement, shop drawings, site execution, inspections, snagging, and handover. Coordinate with Procurement and Project teams to monitor material and procurement schedules against project requirements. Monitor shop drawing, technical submission, material approval, and consultant approval timelines. Identify critical path activities and potential delays and recommend appropriate corrective actions. Conduct *delay analysis and schedule impact assessments* and prepare recovery plans where required. Monitor manpower, resources, productivity, and project requirements against approved schedules. Prepare project performance reports, KPIs, S-curves, progress charts, and other planning reports. Conduct regular progress review meetings with project teams and follow up on agreed actions. Support Project Managers in identifying project risks, constraints, dependencies, and potential schedule impacts. Maintain accurate planning records, schedule updates, progress data, and supporting documentation. Assist in tender planning, preliminary schedules, resource forecasting, and project mobilization planning. Monitor project completion forecasts and highlight potential slippages to management at an early stage. Ensure planning and reporting systems provide accurate and meaningful information for management decision-making. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree in *Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field*. *Minimum 3–5 years of UAE experience as a Planning Engineer.* *Interior Fit-Out / Joinery experience is mandatory.* Strong hands-on experience in planning and scheduling for *multiple interior fit-out projects*. Advanced knowledge of *Primavera P6*; MS Project knowledge is an added advantage. Strong proficiency in *Microsoft Excel*, including project trackers, reporting, data analysis, and dashboard development. Proven ability to develop and maintain *centralized dashboards showing multiple project progress in a single view*. Strong knowledge of baseline programs, look-ahead schedules, critical path analysis, progress measurement, delay analysis, and recovery planning. Experience tracking *design, shop drawings, material approvals, procurement, site execution, inspections, snagging, and handover*. Good understanding of interior fit-out project execution, sequencing, dependencies, and resource requirements. Experience preparing *S-curves, progress reports, KPIs, productivity reports, and management dashboards*. Ability to collect, analyze, and validate project data from different teams and sites. Strong coordination skills with Project Managers, Site Teams, Design, Procurement, Commercial, QA/QC, and other departments. Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Knowledge of *Power BI* or other business intelligence/dashboard tools is an added advantage. UAE Driving License is an added advantage. *Immediate joiners or candidates available on short notice will be preferred.* ### Key Requirement The ideal candidate must have *hands-on UAE Interior Fit-Out planning experience* and should be capable of independently managing planning and reporting from *baseline schedule → progress tracking → critical path/delay analysis → recovery planning → project forecasting → management dashboard reporting* across multiple projects. .
