Production Supervisor

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Operational Management -Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet planned output, quality standards, and delivery timelines. -Monitor production parameters, batch processes, and equipment performance to ensure smooth operations. -Ensure proper handling, mixing, and processing of chemicals according to SOPs. -Maintain accurate production records, batch reports, and shift logs. People Supervision -Lead, guide, and supervise production operators and technicians. -Conduct shift briefings, allocate tasks, and ensure workforce productivity. -Train team members on safety procedures, equipment operation, and quality standards. Safety & Compliance -Enforce strict adherence to HSE guidelines, chemical handling protocols, and PPE requirements. -Conduct routine safety inspections and report hazards or incidents promptly. -Ensure compliance with UAE regulatory requirements and internal company policies. Quality Assurance -Ensure all products meet required specifications and quality standards. -Coordinate with QA/QC teams to address deviations, non-conformities, and corrective actions. -Support root-cause analysis for quality or process issues. Equipment & Maintenance -Monitor equipment condition and coordinate preventive maintenance with the maintenance team. -Report breakdowns and ensure timely resolution to minimize downtime. -Verify calibration and readiness of production tools and instruments. Continuous Improvement -Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes. -Support implementation of lean manufacturing, 5S, and process improvement initiatives. Any ad hoc responsibilities as assigned by the line manager Desired Candidate Profile Strong understanding of polyurethane industry, blending processes, and manufacturing workflows. Knowledge of chemical handling, storage, and safety protocols. Ability to read and interpret production formulas, batch sheets, and technical documents. Familiarity with production equipment such as mixers, reactors, pumps, and dosing systems. Competence in production planning, shift management, and resource allocation. Basic troubleshooting skills for mechanical and process issues. Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (SAP B1, S4 HANA). Diploma or bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field. Experience At least 2 years in a supervisory or team-lead role. Experience in batch production environments preferred. Exposure to UAE manufacturing standards and HSE practices is beneficial.
