QC Inspector

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Inspect all incoming materials (local and imported) against client Purchase Orders, datasheets, and applicable ASME/ASTM standards — dimensions, marking, heat numbers, coating, and general condition. Review Material Test Certificates (EN 10204 3.1 / 3.2) and verify traceability against heat numbers stamped on the material. Flag any deviation before material is accepted into stock. Raise and follow up NCRs for non-conforming materials with suppliers until closed. Prepare Inspection Test Plans (ITPs), inspection sheets, and quality/release reports as required by the client or project. Coordinate third-party inspection (TPI) visits — arrange access, documents, and witness points — and compile the inspection reports afterward. Update Material Receipt Notes (MRN) and keep all quality records complete and audit-ready. Carry out periodic checks on stock materials — condition, preservation, end protection, and storage — and report anything deteriorating before it becomes a problem. Check final packing against client and shipping requirements; prepare packing details and container loading documentation with photos. Work day-to-day with warehouse, procurement, and sales teams so quality issues are caught early — not at delivery. Desired Candidate Profile Degree or diploma in Mechanical / Materials Engineering or a related discipline. 2–3 years of QC experience in piping materials (pipes, fittings, flanges, valves) — trading/stockist environment preferred. Solid working knowledge of ASME B16 series, API, and ASTM material specifications. Hands-on experience reviewing MTCs and handling third-party inspections. Familiar with measuring instruments (vernier, micrometer, UT thickness gauge, PMI awareness). CSWIP, BGAS, or similar inspection certification is a plus. Good written English — inspection reports and client documentation must be clear and presentable.
