Restaurant Manager

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Preferred Candidate Profile: Indian nationals only, with preference given to candidates from Kerala who have strong experience working in South Indian restaurants, particularly those specializing in Kerala cuisine. Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, ensuring smooth and efficient service. Ensure compliance with Teeffee's Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), brand standards, and operational guidelines. Oversee dine-in, takeaway, delivery, and catering operations. Coordinate with the kitchen team to ensure timely food preparation and service. Ensure consistency in food quality, presentation, portion control, and service standards. Maintain restaurant cleanliness, ambience, and overall guest comfort. Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed daily. Achieve monthly sales, profitability, and operational targets. Monitor daily sales performance and implement initiatives to improve revenue. Control food cost, beverage cost, labor cost, and operational expenses. Minimize wastage through effective inventory and production planning. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly operational and financial reports. Ensure proper cash handling and reconciliation procedures. Lead, supervise, motivate, and develop restaurant employees. Prepare staff duty rosters and manage manpower effectively. Conduct employee induction, coaching, and on-the-job training. Monitor employee performance and conduct regular performance reviews. Foster teamwork, accountability, and a customer-focused culture. Ensure compliance with company policies, code of conduct, and UAE Labour Law. Deliver exceptional customer service and ensure a memorable dining experience. Handle guest complaints professionally and resolve issues promptly. Monitor customer feedback and online reviews and implement improvement plans. Ensure brand standards are consistently maintained across all customer touchpoints. Build customer loyalty and encourage repeat business. Monitor inventory levels of food, beverages, packaging materials, and restaurant supplies. Coordinate with procurement to ensure timely purchasing of materials. Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits. Ensure proper storage practices using FIFO and FEFO principles. Prevent stock shortages, pilferage, and unnecessary wastage. Ensure compliance with HACCP, UAE Municipality regulations, and food safety standards. Conduct regular hygiene inspections across kitchen, dining, and storage areas. Ensure food safety procedures are followed by all employees. Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and personal hygiene. Ensure compliance with all operational licenses and regulatory requirements. Support restaurant promotions, seasonal campaigns, and menu launches. Drive local store marketing initiatives to increase customer traffic. Promote takeaway, delivery, catering, and corporate orders. Identify opportunities to increase average transaction value through upselling and cross-selling. Monitor restaurant KPIs and operational performance. Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly business reports. Analyze operational data and implement corrective actions. Conduct regular operational audits and ensure continuous improvement. Desired Candidate Profile Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred). 5–8 years of progressive experience in the restaurant industry, with a minimum of 3 years as a Restaurant Manager. Mandatory experience managing an authentic South Indian restaurant or a reputed South Indian restaurant chain. Proven experience overseeing high-volume South Indian casual dining, family dining, or premium restaurant operations. Strong knowledge of South Indian cuisine, traditional cooking methods, regional specialties, menu planning, food presentation, and customer preferences. Experience managing dine-in, takeaway, delivery, catering, and online food delivery platforms. Strong understanding of restaurant financial management, including P&L, budgeting, food cost, labor cost, inventory management, and profitability. Proven experience in workforce planning, employee training, performance management, and leading multicultural teams. Sound knowledge of HACCP, UAE Municipality regulations, food safety standards, and UAE Labour Law. Experience using restaurant POS systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office applications. UAE or GCC restaurant management experience is highly preferred. Excellent leadership, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
