Senior Accountant

Job Description As a Senior Accountant, you will play a critical role in managing our financial operations and ensuring compliance with local and international accounting standards. Your key responsibilities will include: Preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements, reports, and records to ensure accuracy and completeness. Managing the month-end and year-end closing processes, including reconciliations and journal entries. Overseeing accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely processing and follow-up. Preparing and filing tax returns and ensuring compliance with Egyptian tax regulations and other statutory requirements. Conducting variance analysis and providing insights to support budgeting and forecasting activities. Assisting with internal and external audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries. Mentoring junior accounting staff and reviewing their work to maintain high-quality standards. Continuously improving accounting processes and internal controls to enhance efficiency and accuracy. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, or CMA is highly preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior or supervisory role
• Strong knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
• High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
• Fluency in both Arabic and English (written and spoken) is required. ess
