Senior Accountant

Job Responsibilities Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Manage the general ledger and ensure all accounting entries are accurate and complete. Perform month-end and year-end closing activities. Reconcile bank accounts, customer accounts, supplier accounts, and balance sheet accounts. Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable to ensure timely processing. Prepare and file tax returns, VAT declarations, and other statutory reports. Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management. Analyze financial data and prepare management reports with recommendations. Coordinate and support internal and external audits. Maintain fixed asset registers and oversee depreciation calculations. Monitor inventory accounting and cost allocations. Review payroll accounting entries and related reconciliations. Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes and internal controls. Supervise and mentor junior accountants and review their work. Coordinate with banks, auditors, suppliers, customers, and government authorities on financial matters. Support ERP/accounting system implementation, maintenance, and process improvements. Ensure all financial records are properly maintained and archived. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. 5 8 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior accounting role
• Strong knowledge of IFRS (or applicable accounting standards) and local tax regulations
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Odoo)
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities
