Senior Contracts & Commercial Engineeer

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Contracts and Commercial Engineer to join our team. This role is crucial in managing contractual agreements, ensuring compliance, and supporting the financial aspects of our projects. Contract Management: Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring all terms are favorable and compliant with legal requirements. Cost Analysis: Conduct thorough cost estimates and financial analyses to support project budgets and forecasts. Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks associated with contracts and commercial agreements, providing strategies to mitigate them. Change Management: Manage variations and change orders, ensuring accurate documentation and agreement from all parties. Compliance: Ensure all contracts adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and company policies. Reporting: Prepare regular reports on contract performance, financial status, and project risks for management review. Collaboration: Work closely with project managers, legal teams, and finance departments to ensure alignment on project objectives and commercial strategies. Dispute Resolution: Assist in resolving any contractual disputes or claims that arise during project execution.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field. 8+ years of experience in contracts and commercial management within the construction industry. Strong understanding of contract law and construction practices. Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills. Proficiency in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
