Senior Localization Engineer

Job Description Roles & Responsibilities Key accountabilities: File Conversion & Preparation Support: Assist project managers with technical tasks such as file conversion, preparation, and word count analysis to optimize workflows for linguists. File Quality Assurance: Perform thorough post-translation quality checks to ensure deliverables meet client standards before submission. CAT Tool Support: Provide technical assistance to colleagues experiencing challenges with CAT tools and related software. Team Mentorship & Onboarding: Support team members and monitor the progress of new hires to ensure smooth integration into their roles. Collaboration with IT: Partner with the IT department to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues impacting CAT tool performance. Training Material Development: Create instructional resources and documentation as requested by project managers to support team learning. Workflow Automation: Design and implement automation tools and scripts to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and reduce manual effort. Custom Script Development: Build tailored scripts and automation solutions in response to specific project requirements. New Hire Training: Lead scheduled training sessions to onboard and upskill new team members. Operational Factors of the Job: Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality localized content. Communication skills for collaboration and mentoring. Problem Solving Self-Learning Multitasking Desired Candidate Profile Must have professional qualifications: Bachelors or masters degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. + 4 Years of experience. Strong expertise in software development, internationalization, and localization. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Extensive experience with localization tools, CAT tools, version control, Automation & Mobile localization & Web localization, and management systems. Deep understanding of web technologies, APIs, and content management systems (CMS). ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues. Knowledge of agile methodologies; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
