Senior Mechanical Procurement Engineer

Review specifications, BOQs, drawings, material requisitions, vendor lists, and schedules to define mechanical procurement requirements. Prepare RFQs and source qualified local and international suppliers for HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and mechanical equipment. Evaluate technical and commercial offers, prepare comparison sheets, and verify compliance with specifications, quality, and budget. Coordinate technical clarifications and material submittments with Engineering, Project teams, suppliers, and consultants to secure approvals. Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranties, Incoterms, and other conditions and recommend the best-value compliant supplier. Prepare purchase orders and procurement recommendations in line with approved budgets, procurement procedures, and contractual requirements. Track long-lead items and follow up manufacturing, inspection, testing, shipment, and delivery; expedite critical mechanical packages. Coordinate with Logistics, Finance, Cost Control, Warehouse, Commercial, and site teams to resolve delivery, payment, and material issues. Evaluate supplier performance, maintain the mechanical vendor database, support prequalification, and develop alternative supply sources. Support Tendering with budget quotations and market information, and provide procurement status, cost, risk, and long-lead-item reports.

Desired Candidate Profile

Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or any relevant field Procurement or Supply Chain certificate is a plus. CIPS or Contract Management certification is a plus. 4+ years of experience in mechanical procurement within construction, EPC, MEP, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
