Senior Pricing Analyst
Job Description Roles & Responsibilities About the position As a Senior Pricing Analyst, you will join the Retail Insurance team to drive pricing strategy and portfolio profitability by developing and optimizing tariff models. Ensure pricing decisions are grounded in claims experience, risk segmentation, portfolio performance, and market competitiveness. Responsibilities Develop and maintain pricing and tariff models for Motor Insurance using frequency-severity, GLM, and other relevant approaches, with secondary coverage of Travel, Home, and other personal insurance products Monitor portfolio performance and identify the key drivers behind deviations from profitability targets Prepare data-driven recommendations for tariff adjustments to support sales, profitability, and loss ratio objectives Conduct rate adequacy, competitor pricing, and customer sensitivity analysis to support pricing decisions Support tariff approval, rate filing, and regulatory submission processes where applicable Partner with Actuarial, Underwriting, Product, Claims, and Data teams on pricing initiatives and portfolio reviews Build pricing dashboards and management reports and present findings to relevant stakeholders Requirements 3 5 years of experience in insurance pricing, actuarial analysis, or risk analytics, ideally within Motor or broader Property and Casualty insurance Bachelor s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field Strong knowledge of actuarial pricing principles, including frequency-severity modelling, GLMs, loss ratio analysis, and combined ratio analysis Solid understanding of insurance portfolio economics, including claims experience, retention, profitability, and the underwriting cycle Experience developing, validating, and interpreting rating models and rate-impact analyses Proficiency in SQL and strong Excel skills for data extraction, pricing calculations, scenario modelling, and portfolio analysis Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear commercial recommendations and communicate effectively with stakeholders English level B2 or higher Nice to have Progress toward an actuarial qualification, such as IFoA or SOA Experience with actuarial and statistical modelling tools such as R, Python, Emblem, or Radar Experience with data-visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker Studio Knowledge of insurance pricing regulation and experience across Motor, Travel, Home, or other retail insurance products Desired Candidate Profile 3 5 years of experience in insurance pricing, actuarial analysis, or risk analytics, ideally within Motor or broader Property and Casualty insurance Bachelor s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, or a related field Strong knowledge of actuarial pricing principles, including frequency-severity modelling, GLMs, loss ratio analysis, and combined ratio analysis Solid understanding of insurance portfolio economics, including claims experience, retention, profitability, and the underwriting cycle Experience developing, validating, and interpreting rating models and rate-impact analyses Proficiency in SQL and strong Excel skills for data extraction, pricing calculations, scenario modelling, and portfolio analysis Ability to translate complex analytical findings into clear commercial recommendations and communicate effectively with stakeholders English level B2 or higher Nice to have Progress toward an actuarial qualification, such as IFoA or SOA Experience with actuarial and statistical modelling tools such as R, Python, Emblem, or Radar Experience with data-visualization tools such as Tableau or Looker Studio Knowledge of insurance pricing regulation and experience across Motor, Travel, Home, or other retail insurance products Company Industry InternetE-commerceDotcom Department / Functional Area InsuranceUnderwritingSurveyingActuary Keywords Senior Pricing Analyst Get real-time job updates only on our App
